The Alabama State Conference of the NAACP held its 67th Annual State Convention for the weekend of October 10-13, 2019 in Huntsville, AL at the Embassy Suites Hotel, located at 800 Monroe Street, Huntsville, AL 35801. This year’s line-up of workshops and speakers were as followed:
- October 11, 7:30 a.m. Mr. Mitchell Smith, UAW Region Eight Director, at the Labor Breakfast.
- October 11, 11:30 a.m. Ms. Melanie Bridgeforth, President and CEO of the Women’s Fund of Greater Birmingham was the keynote of the Women in NAACP (WIN) Luncheon at 11:30 a.m.
- October 12, 7:30 a.m. The Honorable W. Kent Davis was keynote speaker of the Veterans Affairs Breakfast.
- October 12, 11:30 a.m. Rev. Keith Shoulders, Pastor of David’s Temple Church, was keynote speaker of the Alabama Youth and College Luncheon.
- October 12, Rev. Dr. William Barber, Founder of Moral Monday Movement, Repairer of the Breach and currently Co-Chair of the Poor People’s Campaign was the keynote speaker.
