Public comments are solicited on the Army’s recommendation for corrective measures for groundwater at RSA-314. RSA-314, Used Oil Above-Ground Storage Tank (AST), and Spill Site, Building 3670, Operable Unit 24, is located in the northern portion of Redstone Arsenal. RSA-314 was the site of a former 10,000-gallon AST used to store Number 2 fuel oil and a fuel oil pump house, both associated with Building 3670. Building 3670 is currently used as a heavy equipment maintenance facility. Corrective measures are needed to address the presence of light non-aqueous phase liquid (LNAPL) and groundwater contaminated with volatile organic compounds, semi-volatile organic compounds, explosives, and metals.
