(HUNTSVILLE, AL) – – Madkins Chapel CPCA, located at 2403 Oakwood Road, Northwest Huntsville, Alabama, celebrated Reverend Endia J. Scruggs’ 29th Anniversary as Pastor on Sunday, April 22, 2018 during Morning Worship at 9:30 a.m.

Guest Speaker Rev. Dr. Mitchell Walker

The Reverend Dr. Mitchell M. Walker, Sr., Pastor of Church Street CPCA in Huntsville, Alabama served as guest preacher for the event.

The Reverend Endia J. Scruggs was born in Madison County, Alabama and was educated in the Madison County School System. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Religion from the Heritage Bible College in Huntsville, Alabama. She has been very active in many areas of the Huntsville and Madison County Community. Reverend Scruggs has been preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ since 1973.

She is licensed and ordained minister of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America (CPCA). In addition, she was the first woman of the CPCA denomination to be called to an established congregation, Hills Chapel CPCA, in Decatur, Alabama. She was the pastor of this congregation for eight and one half years. One year later, she was asked to serve as pastor of the Madkins Chapel CPCA in Huntsville, Alabama.

Since her pastorate at Madkins Chapel, the congregation has grown numerically, as well as spiritually. The congregation is the largest in the CPCA denomination.
