Huntsville Hospital’s Mobile Medical Unit will offer free health screenings October 31 at Taylor’s Chapel Primitive Baptist Church in North Huntsville.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — North Huntsville residents can receive free health screenings when Huntsville Hospital’s Mobile Medical Unit visits Taylor’s Chapel Primitive Baptist Church on Saturday, October 31, 2026.

The community health event will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 3100 Stringfield Road NW, Huntsville.

Sponsored by Taylor’s Chapel PB Church, the initiative brings preventive healthcare directly to the neighborhood, giving residents a chance to check key health indicators without financial barriers.

Available services include blood pressure and vital sign checks, blood sugar screenings, cholesterol testing, general health consultations, and educational resources.

Participants may also receive referrals to primary care providers, community resources, and recommendations for additional diagnostic follow-up.

The screenings give residents an opportunity to identify potential health concerns, particularly     diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol.

All services are completely free, and no health insurance is required.

Appointments are unnecessary. Participants will be served on a first-come, first-served basis, and anyone can attend for basic health checkups.

By partnering with a neighborhood church, Huntsville Hospital is making preventive health services more accessible to families, seniors, and individuals who may have delayed routine medical care.

Residents are encouraged to attend, learn more about their health, and take advantage of the free services available.
