HUNTSVILLE — Free outdoor fitness classes are coming to parks across Huntsville this spring and summer, and everyone is invited.
Healthy Huntsville’s Fitness in the Park series returns on Saturday, May 2, with a Kardio Dance Fitness class at Big Spring Park West, followed by the Mayor’s Annual Bike Ride. Sessions run every Saturday morning from 9 to 10 a.m. through June 13, rotating to a different park each week with a different instructor and workout style.
All sessions are free and open to anyone 16 and older. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
“We’re excited about the variety in this year’s Fitness in the Park schedule,” said Kevin Ready, Wellness and Fitness Coordinator for Huntsville Parks and Recreation. “It’s a great opportunity for people of all fitness levels to get active and explore different fitness opportunities.”
Parks and Recreation Director James Gossett added: “The sessions provide opportunities for the community to explore new spaces, stay active and experience all the ways our parks support healthy, active lifestyles.”
