SPEAKIN’ OUT NEWS

Alabama A&M’s expanded partnership with Huntsville-based Morningbird Space Corporation supports online workforce training and student opportunities in experimental space propulsion research.

HUNTSVILLE — Alabama A&M University is expanding its partnership with Morningbird Space Corporation to connect workforce training with academic expertise and research.

A new strategic partnership and revenue-sharing agreement supports Morningbird Academy, an online initiative offering on-demand, self-paced instruction tied to workplace applications.

The agreement covers educational programs, professional development, workforce training, and certification-related offerings, with potential pathways to academic credentials.

“A foundational principle of the Morningbird Academy is to provide pathways for the education that leads people to their goals,” said Dr. Chance Glenn Sr., Morningbird Space founder and the Academy’s academic director.

The collaboration builds on research involving AAMU students. Morningbird Space received a $99,015 Innovate Alabama Supplemental Grant to advance experimental propulsion research with the AAMU-RISE Foundation.
