MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Faith, purpose, leadership, creativity and HBCU culture will converge at the FOR CHRIST Conference, a three-day Christian gathering scheduled for Sept. 17–19 at Alabama State University.
Created to inspire, equip, and unite a generation around living boldly for Jesus Christ, the conference is rooted in the legacy, excellence, and community of historically Black colleges and universities. Although designed with HBCU students in mind, FOR CHRIST is open to anyone seeking spiritual growth and an authentic community of believers.
Attendees will experience worship, biblical teaching, discipleship, live question-and-answer discussions, and breakout sessions. Organizers say the program will also provide networking opportunities for students and young adults from diverse backgrounds who want to make an impact for Christ.
Speakers include author and Bible teacher Jackie Hill Perry; poet, teacher and Christian apologist Preston Perry; Prayer Storm founder James Aladiran; worship leader Matt Gilman; singer-songwriter and worship leader Olivia Buckles; and Fresh Anointing House of Worship Senior Pastor Chris Searcy.
“Basecamp,” located on ASU’s campus, will serve as the conference’s central hub, bringing faith, community, culture, and purpose together. Participants will be able to meet fellow students, explore ministry resources, and build relationships intended to continue after the conference.
The gathering is aimed at young people navigating college life, discovering their purpose, developing their faith, or searching for meaningful Christian fellowship. Its message challenges participants to represent Christ boldly on campus, in their careers, and throughout everyday life.
College students may attend for free with a valid student identification card. Advance registration, schedules, and breakout-session information are available through the official conference website.
