Fans of the beloved animated series The Proud Family have something to celebrate as Disney+ prepares to launch the fourth and final season of The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder on July 29, marking the franchise’s 25th anniversary.

The groundbreaking series, which originally premiered in 2001 and ended in 2005, follows the adventures of Penny Proud, a confident Black teenager navigating family, friendships, identity, and the challenges of growing up. The revival, Louder and Prouder, brought the Proud family back to audiences in 2022, introducing a new generation to the show’s humor and heart while addressing contemporary issues.

Disney+ recently announced that Season 4 will serve as the series’ final chapter. The streaming platform also revealed plans for a new stop-motion holiday special titled A Proud Family Wizmas, scheduled to debut later this year.

According to Deadline, the announcement comes as creator Bruce W. Smith and executive producer Ralph Farquhar continue their partnership with Disney Television Animation through a renewed overall production deal under BaR Productions.

In the final season, Penny Proud faces new challenges that test her confidence, independence, and decision-making skills. As always, her family remains at the center of the story, supporting one another through life’s ups and downs.

Returning voice cast members include Kyla Pratt, Tommy Davidson, Paula Jai Parker, JoMarie Payton, Cedric the Entertainer, Karen Malina White, and Soleil Moon Frye. Guest stars this season include Mariah Carey, Chloe Bailey, Lorraine Toussaint, JB Smoove, Kym Whitley, Ali Wong, and Lashana Lynch.

The series remains a cornerstone of Disney’s Kids & Family programming and a cultural favorite for audiences across generations.
