NEW YORK — Clive Davis, the legendary music executive whose vision helped shape generations of artists and redefine the American music industry, died Monday at his Manhattan home. He was 94. His family said he passed away peacefully following recent health issues.
Over a career spanning more than six decades, Davis became one of the most influential figures in popular music, discovering, developing, and promoting artists whose work transformed R&B, soul, gospel, hip-hop, rock, and pop music.
