HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Music lovers looking for an evening of live entertainment can enjoy the sounds of jazz when the Tennessee Valley Jazz Society hosts its monthly Acoustic Jazz Jam on Sunday, June 14.
The free event will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Dish Restaurant, located at 2005 Poole Drive NW in Huntsville. Open to the public, the gathering welcomes musicians, jazz enthusiasts, and anyone interested in experiencing one of America’s most influential musical traditions.
The Acoustic Jazz Jam series is designed to promote jazz education, performance, and appreciation throughout the Tennessee Valley. Attendees can enjoy live acoustic performances in an informal setting while connecting with local artists and fellow music fans.
The Tennessee Valley Jazz Society hosts jam sessions at multiple locations each month. First and third Sunday events take place at the Huntsville Community Drumline, located at 1800 Jordan Lane, while fourth Sunday sessions are held at Valley Conservatory near Hampton Cove.
Organizers say the events are intended to create opportunities for musicians of all skill levels to share their talents and keep the tradition of jazz alive in North Alabama. Whether attendees choose to perform, listen, or simply enjoy the atmosphere, the gatherings offer a welcoming environment for the community.
Jazz remains one of America’s most celebrated art forms, influencing generations of musicians across genres ranging from blues and gospel to R&B and contemporary music.
