Tina Tucker has been named the next CEO of the U.S. Space & Rocket Center.
The U.S. Space & Rocket Center has named Tina Tucker as its next chief executive officer, ending a more than nine-month search for new leadership at one of Huntsville’s most recognized institutions.
Tucker currently serves as president of Pinnacle Solutions, an Akima company, and brings more than two decades of experience in aerospace, defense, and training systems development. Before entering the private sector, she began her career as a software engineer. She holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Austin Peay State University and a master’s degree in project management from Florida Institute of Technology.
The center had been without a permanent CEO since August 2025, when former CEO Kimberly Robinson announced her retirement. Tucker is scheduled to officially begin the role on July 6.
The Space & Rocket Center serves as the official visitor center for NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center and hosts visitors from all 50 states and multiple countries each year. It is also home to Space Camp and remains a major destination for education, tourism, and STEM inspiration.
“The U.S. Space & Rocket Center deserves visionary, energetic, and effective leadership, and that is exactly what Tina Tucker brings,” said Rey Almodóvar in a statement. “She has the talent, the drive, and the creativity to lead this institution into its next great chapter.”
Her appointment comes as Huntsville continues to grow as a national center for space, defense, research, and technology.
