GRAMBLING, La. — On Saturday, November 1, 2025, the Alabama A&M Bulldogs couldn’t overcome a late special teams breakdown, falling 13–10 to Grambling State in a tight Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) road battle at Eddie G. Robinson Memorial Stadium.

The Bulldogs (3–6 overall, 2–4 SWAC) jumped out to an early lead with strong execution on both sides of the ball. After forcing a turnover on downs, David Faulk opened the scoring with a 27-yard field goal. Minutes later, quarterback JD Davis II connected with Donovan Payne for a 43-yard touchdown strike, giving Alabama A&M a 10–0 advantage late in the first quarter.

Grambling (6–3, 3–2 SWAC) answered with two Josh McCormick field goals—one from 38 yards and another from 30—to cut the lead to 10–6 at halftime.

A&M’s defense stood tall for most of the second half, blocking a 35-yard field goal attempt in the third quarter. But with 7:39 remaining, the game turned when Delano Franklin returned a 45-yard punt 64 yards for a touchdown, giving Grambling its first lead of the day.

The Bulldogs’ final drive stalled, allowing the Tigers to run out the clock and hold on for the victory.
