The Department of Biological Sciences is proud to announce that five outstanding Biology students from the Class of 2025 have been accepted into the prestigious Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine. Each of these students has met the rigorous academic and extracurricular requirements for entrance into Mayo Clinic’s MD and MD/PhD programs, demonstrating exceptional dedication, leadership, and commitment to the field of medicine. Says Dr. Elaine Vanterpool, Department Chair, “Beyond their academic achievements, these students have made a meaningful impact on the Oakwood community, serving as mentors, role models, and leaders for their peers and the youth of the Oakwood and Huntsville communities.
