Pastor Ladell Cole and his wife Tanya Cole are founders and Senior pastors of Worship United Church in Tampa, Florida. A ministry whose purpose is to ignite the next generation.

Ladell is a graduate of World Harvest Bible College, now Valor Christian College. Ladell and Tanya have a deep passion to win the lost and see the people discover their true identity in Christ.
It was a blessing to have our young son come home to preach the word of God to his people at Hopewell M.B. Church 159th Homecoming Church Anniversary.

Praise and Worship was by Hopewell Anniversary Choir Led by Dr. Michael Hambrick & Bro Roy Williams. Wow what a song service! One song was led by young at heart, our Senior Ludie Smith singing “Packing Up.” The Spirit of the Lord was so high and God was glorified!

Praise dance by our Praise Dance Ministry, “Satan we Gonna Tear Your Kingdom Down!” God blessed her to dance with the Spirit of the Most High.

What a heartfelt introduction by Lance Cole, Ladell’s older brother. A surprise song was sang for Mother Clara Smith as a tribute from Rev. Cole and Sons gospel group featuring the wonder boy Ladell Cole and now his nephew Demarious Cole carrying out the tradition.

Pastor Ladell Cole focused on the 4 Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John) and he related it to sports such as football having 4 quarters. Nick Saban, one of Cole’s favorite coaches has 4 strategies: execute the plan, stay focused, Don’t Look at the Score. The number 4 is a number of being. It is the number that connects mind, body, spirit, with the physical world of structures and organizations. Four symbolizes the safety and security of home. The need for stability and strength on a solid foundation of values and beliefs. Number 4 has a strong connection with love and it is usually a symbol of stability. It means that your relationship is stable and for you most important is to feel safe and protected.

After the powerful word of God, Dr. Larry Davidson Jr. presented a special heartfelt token to Emeritus Leroy Cole and former Pastor Roy Williams Sr. It symbolized how the two former pastors still keep the torch burning to lift up and to draw men unto the Lord.

A celebratory meal was prepared for the entire congregation took place in the Fellowship Hall and a time of fellowship and reflection took place. What a day to remember, 159 Years of service.
