4G STEM PROGRAM CONTINUES TO ENGAGE AREA YOUTH FOR 5TH YEAR IN HUNTSVILLE

(FAR LEFT) State Rep. Anthony Daniels, District 53 and (FAR RIGHT) State Rep. Laura Hall, District 19 hosted “Girls, Guys, Gigabytes & Gadgets” (4G) Day Program on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center. The program introduces science and technology to local area students.

(HUNTSVILLE, AL) – – State Representative Laura Hall and State Representative Anthony Daniels hosted “Girls, Guys, Gigabytes & Gadgets” (4G) Day Program at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center on Saturday April 20, 2019 from 8:00 until 2:00 PM. The STEM event is an expansion of the acclaimed national initiative. 4G has exposed hundreds of Tennessee Valley youth to STEM over the years with the support of local volunteers and sponsors. Registered participants will qualify to receive a number of prizes donated by sponsors. “Creating space through exploration” is the event theme. The 4G Day Program will be expanding into providing approachable STEM solutions in Huntsville.

4G is a free day-long Saturday session to introduce area youth ages 8 – 18 to the sciences.

2016 4G partners include AT&T, Toyota Motor Manufacturing Alabama, Google Fiber, Huntsville Utilities, National Space Club – Huntsville, TVA, Chick-Fil-A, Jerry Damson Honda Acura, Inspire & Achieve, U.S. Space & Rocket Center, Wal-Mart and Woody Anderson Ford.

Alabama State Rep. Laura Hall has represented District 19 for over 20 years which currently includes parts of Huntsville, Harvest, Moores Mill, Meridianville and Toney.

Rep. Anthony Daniels was first elected to the Alabama Legislature in 2014 and represents the 53rd District.
