(HUNTSVILLE, AL) – – Last week, members of the Huntsville community welcomed Congresswoman Terri Sewell (AL-7) and House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (CA-28). The congressional members attended a series of events in The Rocket City to meet the young leaders, business owners, community members and the Intelligence Community. Congressman Schiff stated that it is extremely important for Congress to travel throughout the country to other districts.
Congresswoman Sewell was born in Huntsville and has deep ties to the community. She stated that her commitment to the Tennessee Valley and the work of the people here were critical to the economy and work of the country. Chairman Schiff shared that he has ties to Alabama. His father attended the University of Alabama.
Congresswoman Sewell’s committee assignments include the House Committee on Ways and Means and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. Her caucus memberships include the Congressional Automotive, Cybersecurity, Rural Veterans, STEAM, TRIO, Special Operations Forces (SOF) and the State Medicaid Expansion Caucus (SMEC).
