Pine Grove C.M.E. Church was founded in 1917 by Reverend Thomas Otey. Rev. Otey was the great, great grandfather of the current Pastor of the Pine Grove CME Church, Rev. Stephen Ray Davis, Sr. Pine Grove C.M.E. Church is located at 1402 Jordan Lane, Huntsville, AL 35816. For over 100 years, generations have passed through the doors at Pine Grove to worship, fellowship and weep for joy or sorrow at the Altar. The journey was not always easy, but through it all, God has been faithful! On Saturday, April 21, 2018 the Pine Grove C.M.E. Church family along with family and friends attended a “Black and White” affair to celebrate 100+ years of service in Huntsville/Madison County community. The event was held at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel at the Huntsville Airport. Bishop Teresa Jefferson-Snorton, Presiding Prelate of the Fifth Episcopal District was the guest speaker. The Theme was “A church family that prays together stays together. Over 120 people attended the celebration. The audience enjoyed music by Buford Crutcher on the saxophone and solos by local artists like DeNeisha Jackson and Sheronika Underwood. A good time was had by all.
