Baldwin County residents near Mobile got a win today. The Robertsdale Central Annex — home to Probate and Revenue services at 22251 Palmer St., Robertsdale — officially reopens Monday, April 20, 2026, following a nearly yearlong renovation. The building had been closed since May 2025 to allow for major upgrades to improve service delivery, efficiency, and customer experience.
The reopening restores convenient, local access to essential services, including vehicle registration, tag renewals, titles, and other Probate and Revenue functions, for residents of central Baldwin County. For many working families, seniors, and small-business owners, having services close to home means less time off work, less gas money, and less stress.
Baldwin County officials noted that staff have been temporarily assigned to other county facilities during the closure. As services transition back to Robertsdale, residents may notice slightly reduced staffing levels at other Baldwin County locations during the first week of the transition.
The upgraded annex represents the kind of everyday government infrastructure that often flies under the radar but carries real weight for working-class communities — especially in rural and semi-rural areas where a single annex can serve thousands of families.
Speakin’ Out News encourages Baldwin County residents to take advantage of the reopened annex, renew tags before deadlines, and reach out to county leaders if they encounter service gaps. Local access to probate, revenue, and licensing services is a basic building block of civic life — and this reopening puts it back within reach for families in central Baldwin County.
