“He Brought Me Out”
By Mario D. Ford

Recently, Christians celebrated the Resurrection of Jesus Christ; the most significant event in all of Christendom.
The reality of the Resurrection gave Mary Magdalene the testimony of ‘He brought me out’ on the first Resurrection Morning.
John, the supplemental Gospel writer, notes “Now the first day of the week Mary Magdalene went to the tomb early, while it was still dark, and saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb. Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that He had spoken these things to her.” (John 20:1, 18)
Mary Magdalene is moving in the darkness, early in the morning, trying to find her way; darkness, literally being the absence of light.
Metaphorically, darkness is the notion that all happiness is gone, despair has come into our heart, and discouragement has filled our soul.
Mary Magdalene is walking in darkness on the outside and filled with darkness on the inside.
You may remember from Sunday School, Mary Magdalene is one the ride or die followers of Jesus, she loved the Lord with her whole heart, Mary Magdalene was so close to Jesus, she didn’t want to leave Golgotha’s Hill after Christ’s crucifixion on Friday.
Mary Magdalene is dealing with discouragement; however, she soon makes a discovery while she is standing outside the tomb crying.
Jesus said one word, and everything got turned around — He said “Mary”
The Lord can call your name and calm all your fears, sooth your doubts, and give you a peace that passes all understanding.
Mary left the tomb with the testimony she had seen the Lord, He brought her out.
God is the God of repeat performances, if He did it before, He can do it again.
Regardless of how this day finds you — He can bring you out.
Trust God, never doubt, and He will bring you out!
