Thanks, Speakin Out News and to our many dedicated readers. I want to give thanks again to my family and the Smothers family who are so good to me.
I hope you had a great holiday weekend. The weather was great even if we were limited as to what we could do. We need lots of prayers for this virus to be over soon. Our parents before us would never believe this has happened. Sooner than later we will know who is responsible for this spreading and they will have to answer for it.
Why do the protesters keep on protesting and what is it all about? We were all sent here by the same person and will be taken from here by the same person. Please give thanks for Life, Health, Faith, Family, Friends and Love, and help those who to need our help.
CITY ELECTION
Congratulations Mayor Battle in getting re-elected and if you need someone with Common Sense to be a part of your planning, I would like the job. I loved your signs saying Battle Works and it is time to work for all the people and address the bad roads, traffic, speeders and empty buildings all over the city. Changing the zoning ordinances to allow builders to build in the middle of our small streets must stop. Please Mayor, it is not all about downtown and building big parking garages for friends. A lot of the public does not care about government or how the money is spent but many of us do. “WE CAN MAKE HUNTSVILLE GREAT AGAIN” if you will stop letting the city planners make all the decision.
The way our election was handled by the Huntsville Times and all the TV Stations was really outrageous. Over the years while running for office we were given equal time with the TV Stations and in the Times newspaper. This past election the Times did not have pictures, articles or even the names of all those running for office and there was no televised coverage of the candidates. What happened to the good ole days when people cared? Years ago, I talked to Mr. Newhouse the owner of the Times out of New York. The Times had everyone running for office listed in the newspaper but me. I called him and he corrected the situation. Of course, today the Birmingham office controls what the Huntsville Times does.
LOVE HUNTSVILLE
I have been here in Huntsville since 1958 and it has always been a beautiful small city with caring, loving people. It is great to be from the Rocket City, the home of so many intelligent people. Let’s keep Huntsville that same caring City.
Love you all and have a blessed week.
