
AAMU Director of Student Activities Named Co-Chair Elect for NASPA.
Dr. Jessica Brown has been elected Women in Student Affairs Knowledge Community Co- Chair-Elect for NASPA (National Association of Student Personnel Administrators). Dr. Brown, who serves as Director of Student Activities and Leadership Development at Ala- bama A&M University, will work to empower women in higher education and student affairs.
“Since graduate school, I have been engaged in NASPA at both the state and national levels,” said Brown. “WISA is a collective of strong, dedicated, and inspiring individuals who impact the field of higher education through their leadership, resilience, and commitment to growing this field. This knowledge community has shown me that there are no limits to what we can achieve when we work together, and I look forward to seeing how I can continue to add value to the team.”
NASPA connects a network of over 15,000 student affairs professionals from over 2,100 campuses in all 50 states. Each year, NAS- PA members are invited to participate in electing the Board Chair-Elect of the NASPA Board of Directors as well as the leadership of Regions and Knowledge Communities.
Brown will co-chair the group with Dae’lyn Do, Coordinator of Student Engagement and Programming at Bowling Green State University.
