Huntsville, AL – There was a time when you would hear a parent state that they would do anything to save the life of their child, including dying for them. Now you see and hear parents who are willing to put the lives of their children on the line in order to prove a political point. Children are less to blame for the spread of COVID-19 than adults. A recent survey found that white parents were more likely to want schools to end COVID-19 protocols like masking, while parents of color were more likely to want them in place. Unvaccinated parents are passing on this virus to their children and other adults. A quote from Astrophysicist Neil de Grassse Tyson says it all…“HOW TO DIE LIKE A MEDIEVAL PEASANT IN SPITE OF MODERN MEDICINE”.
The parents who continue to put their children in danger are listening to the talking heads who uses legislation on public health, by stoking fear and spreading misinformation, to deceive those who are willing to believe a lie. Those same talking heads are more than likely to have been vaccinated and their children are attending a private school or being home schooled. Yes, they can afford it. Also don’t think for one minute they are not wearing a mask.
Some people who want to get vaccinated are so afraid of the backlash from family and friends that they are getting it done in secret. It’s sad to see communities attacking each other over something that will save the lives of future generations. How many children are here today because they were required to wear a bike helmet, put on a seatbelt, and got vaccinated for the measles, mumps and rubella? It’s obvious that some parents don’t seem to care about these children who are caught in the fight between adults and politics.
