Four-night program at Union Chapel centers on fellowship and the theme “We’re Better Together.”

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — The Greater Huntsville Interdenominational Ministerial Fellowship, Inc., placed Christian unity at the center of its 2026 City-Wide Revival program, advertised for October 26–29 at Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.
The event announcement named Elder Dr. Kenneth A. Duke, legacy pastor of New Jerusalem Primitive Baptist Church in Miami, Florida, as guest preacher. Services were scheduled for 7 p.m. nightly at the church, 315 Winchester Road.
The theme, “We’re Better Together,” drew from Psalm 133:1: “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!” The scripture connected the revival’s worship focus with the fellowship’s emphasis on cooperation across congregational lines.
Rev. Dr. Mario D. Ford serves as GHIMF president, and Rev. Dr. Earl C. Johnson serves as vice president. Both were identified on the revival announcement and are listed among the organization’s officers.
GHIMF describes its membership as ministers representing numerous Christian faiths throughout Huntsville and the Tennessee Valley. Its stated mission includes working together to “spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to serve the greater community to the glory of God.”
That mission gives the revival a community focus beyond any single congregation. The advertised program connected a visiting preacher from Florida with a Huntsville host church and a fellowship whose membership reaches across the Tennessee Valley.
The announcement also carried the message “United to Serve — Building Unity — Transforming Lives,” presenting the four-night program as an expression of GHIMF’s commitment to shared ministry and service.
