HUNTSVILLE — Alabama A&M University crowned Niyah Cameron as its 76th Miss Alabama A&M and Jeremiah Hunt as its second Mister Alabama A&M during the Oct. 9 coronation at the AAMU Event Center.
The ceremony helped launch the university’s Homecoming celebration, “A Different World, Same Bulldog Legacy,” scheduled for Oct. 10-17. Members of the Ascending Court and registered student organization representatives also were recognized.
Cameron, a senior honors biology major from Atlanta, aspires to become a pediatric cardiologist. She emphasized service and building a campus community where students feel supported, appreciated and empowered.
“My reign is rooted in my purpose. I want every student to feel seen, valued, and reminded of their worth,” Cameron said.
Hunt, a senior sport management major from Conyers, Georgia, is a third-generation student at a historically Black college or university. His platform emphasizes legacy, unity, mentorship and developing future leaders.
“I want my time as Mr. A&M to be defined, not by the crown I wear, but by the people I serve and the impact I leave behind,” Hunt said.
