Shanteria “Tia” Mosley, 26, was found dismembered at a Smyrna, Georgia, apartment complex after her family traced her phone there. Police have charged an 18-year-old man in connection with her death.

When Shanteria “Tia” Mosley’s family could not reach her on Sept. 23, they traced her phone to an apartment complex in Smyrna, Georgia. Their search led to the discovery of the 26-year-old mother’s dismembered remains.

Relatives contacted police and continued searching near the Park Valley Apartments. According to reports citing an arrest warrant, a witness saw 18-year-old Kingston Bradley carrying a container through the complex. He allegedly dropped it and ran after noticing the witness. Officers found human remains inside. Family members said they recognized Mosley by a tattoo; the Cobb County Medical Examiner’s Office later confirmed her identity.

During a subsequent vehicle search, investigators found additional remains. Bradley was initially charged with concealing the death of another person and later faced a murder charge. He is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Police are still investigating whether he and Mosley knew each other and why she went to the complex.

Mosley’s relatives said she had left home intending to make DoorDash deliveries. Investigators said they found no record of a delivery to the apartment complex. Police believe she was killed between 10 a.m. and noon on Sept. 23 and are asking anyone with information from that period to come forward.

Her family has remembered Mosley as a joyful mother, daughter, and sister. The investigation into her death remains open.
