Alabama A&M University’s Dusk 2 Dawn returns during Homecoming 2026, bringing back an all-night alumni pep rally and after-party last held in 2009.
Alumnus Branden Gaddis, a freshman when the tradition last took place, will co-host with fellow alumnus Craig “Moolah” Mitchell. The event begins Thursday, Oct. 15, at 10 p.m. at the AAMU Event Center, with entertainment by the Renaissance Orchestra.
“The last time we experienced it was during my freshman year in 2009, and I fondly remember the incredible energy, fun, and sense of community,” Gaddis said.
Presented by AAMU’s Office of Development, the event will raise money for the Student Emergency Fund. Gaddis called the celebration “partying for a cause” and said he looks forward to bringing generations of Bulldogs together.
Gaddis graduated in 2013 and now serves as college and career director for United Way of Madison County. He also serves as president of the Renaissance Orchestra Arts Foundation.
Homecoming festivities, themed “A Different World: Same Bulldog Legacy,” run Oct. 10–17 and conclude with AAMU’s football game against Grambling State University.
