HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Pentecostal Lighthouse Church is welcoming clergy, ministry leaders and worshippers to Huntsville for the First Apostolic Council of Kentucky and Tennessee’s 2026 Fall Session, scheduled September 15-19.
The multiday gathering is being held at the church, 6107 Blue Spring Road NW, under host pastor Reginald Burrell. Council information identifies evening worship, Christian education, women’s ministry programming and activities for ministers’ wives among the scheduled components.
Founded in 1909, the First Apostolic Council describes itself as the oldest documented district council in the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World. The denomination grew from the early twentieth-century Pentecostal movement and has long maintained a strong presence within Black religious life.
Hosting the regional session gives North Huntsville a prominent role in a gathering that connects congregations across state lines. Participants will have opportunities to worship together, receive ministry instruction and strengthen relationships among churches and leaders.
The conference also carries importance beyond the sanctuary. Multiday religious gatherings can introduce visitors to Huntsville businesses, restaurants and community institutions while allowing local ministries to present the city’s faith traditions to a regional audience.
Pentecostal Lighthouse’s selection as the host congregation reflects the continuing influence of Black Apostolic churches in Huntsville. These congregations have historically provided spiritual leadership while supporting families, developing ministers and creating networks of service extending beyond Sunday worship.
