DECATUR, Ala. — A North Alabama home-improvement company is reporting rapid growth as consumer demand for remodeling continues to create opportunities in the region’s service economy.
Express Bath is tracking approximately 49 percent year-over-year growth and is pacing toward what could become the strongest growth year in the company’s history, according to the Decatur-Morgan County Chamber of Commerce.
The company’s growth will be part of the discussion when General Sales Manager Charles Price speaks at the Chamber’s Breakfast & Biz program Sept. 10. Price has nearly two decades of experience building sales teams, developing leaders and driving revenue growth.
For Decatur and Morgan County, the story provides another example of how business growth is occurring beyond the area’s large industrial plants. North Alabama is widely known for manufacturing, aerospace and defense, but construction, remodeling and home services also benefit from population growth, housing turnover and homeowners investing in existing properties.
Express Bath specializes in bathroom remodeling, a sector increasingly influenced by aging homeowners, accessibility needs and consumers choosing renovations instead of moving.
The company’s reported growth does not automatically mean the broader remodeling industry is expanding at the same pace. Still, nearly 49 percent year-over-year growth is significant for a locally based business operating in a competitive market.
The Decatur-Morgan County Chamber says its Breakfast & Biz program is designed to provide professional development and networking support for local companies.
As North Alabama’s economy expands, businesses that serve existing homes and families may be finding new opportunities alongside the region’s better-known industrial employers.
