ATLANTA — Alabama A&M alumna Natashia R. Reese is prepared to welcome Bulldog Nation to Atlanta for the 2026 Cricket MEAC/SWAC Challenge, viewing the game as an opportunity to unite alumni and showcase the University.
Reese and the Metro Atlanta Alumni Chapter helped organize a “Bulldogs Takeover Atlanta” featuring a pep rally, scholarship golf tournament, Bulldogs at The Battery, HBCU Night at the Atlanta Braves, and game-day activities.
A Birmingham native, Reese earned a master’s degree in microbiology from AAMU in 2010. She has worked as a clinical microbiologist for the federal government for more than 15 years and joined the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in 2016. Her work has supported responses to H1N1 influenza, West Nile virus, Zika, and COVID-19.
Reese is a life member of the Alabama A&M Alumni Association and serves as the Metro Atlanta chapter’s financial secretary and membership chairman. She was recognized as the association’s Alumna of the Year.
Reese encourages graduates to support AAMU through mentorship, advocacy, volunteering and financial contributions, reminding alumni that their success can inspire Bulldogs to dream bigger.
