NORMAL, Ala. — Alabama A&M University’s Registered Student Organization Fair helped students discover opportunities for connection, leadership and growth beyond the classroom.
Organizations gathered, allowing students to meet members, ask questions, and explore groups matching their interests. Junior Caleb Davis, representing Freshmen Empowerment, encouraged Bulldogs to use campus involvement to build networks and find a sense of belonging.
Junior Raymond Green highlighted opportunities through the Pre-Alumni Association and About Youth Empowerment Network. He said the nonprofit promotes civic education, professional development, and lasting connections. His involvement has opened doors to the National Urban League and Black Men in Tech Conference.
Collegiate 100 member Dylan Clark said his organization strengthened his skills while allowing him to become a role model for students—something he lacked while attending a predominantly white school system.
Together, their experiences showed that joining an RSO can lead to friendships, mentorship, conferences, service, and career preparation. For students navigating campus, one conversation at an organization’s table could begin an experience lasting far beyond graduation.
