ATLANTA — Alabama A&M alumnus Brandon Gilmore sees the 2026 Cricket MEAC/SWAC Challenge as more than a football game. For the Metro Atlanta Alumni Chapter president, the Bulldogs’ appearance against Howard University offers a platform to strengthen alumni engagement, student recruitment and AAMU’s visibility.
Gilmore, a 2013 graduate, helped organize a “Bulldogs Takeover Atlanta” featuring a pep rally, scholarship golf tournament, Bulldogs at The Battery, HBCU Night at the Atlanta Braves, and game-day activities.
A Birmingham native, Gilmore earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a computer science minor. His campus leadership included serving as Student Government Association president, Honors Program vice president, and a Thurgood Marshall College Fund ambassador.
Today, he works at Microsoft as a technical product manager focused on artificial intelligence and cloud-based software. Gilmore also serves on the Alabama A&M University Alumni Association board.
He encourages students to seek internships, mentors, and alumni connections while developing communication skills. Gilmore said AAMU taught him to solve problems, lead confidently, and serve others—lessons he brings to Bulldog Nation in Atlanta and beyond.
