Shortly after the September 11 attacks, the New York Metropolitan Authority adopted the slogan “if you see something, say something”.
They would later license this slogan to the United States Department of Homeland Security which used it as a national campaign to raise awareness of public safety, as it relates to recognizing and reporting questionable activity.
The premise is simple: if you see something suspicious, you ought to say something about it.
While this is a challenge to the country it also serves as a charge to the Church; we ought to say something as it relates to the goodness of our God.
Tragically, too many professed believers, who have been blood washed and fire baptized, have become quiet, as it relates to their witness for the Lord.
When John saw the saints on the Isle of Patmos, he declared they had “overcome by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony…”
Listen, there is power in our story.
Somebody needs to know what God has done for you; He’ll do the same for them.
Wherefore, the Bible says “Let the redeemed of the Lord say so”.
Sis. Fletcher, regardless of how we do it, none of us are exempt from saying something about our God.
Yes, you may be furloughed but you’ve still been redeemed; you may be sick, but you’ve been redeemed; you might be tired, but you’ve still been redeemed; weight of the world on your shoulder but you’ve still been redeemed; you may have tossed and turned all night but you’ve still been redeemed.
Maybe you’ve got it going on, but you’ve been redeemed; all your I’s are dotted and T’s are crossed but you’ve been redeemed; you don’t have a care in the world, but you’ve been redeemed.
Wherefore, you ought to say something about the goodness of God!
