THE HILL — HUNTSVILLE, Ala. â€” The Alabama A&M Bulldogs showed grit, focus, and fire in the second half Monday night, rallying to defeat UAH 75–68 and bring home the Mayor’s Cup before a nearly sold-out crowd inside the AAMU Event Center.

Led by Koron Davis, who poured in 24 points on an efficient 9-of-13 shooting, the Bulldogs stormed back from a halftime deficit to claim the rivalry victory. Davis also tallied three steals, showcasing his leadership on both ends of the floor.

Gabe Kincy added 15 points, six rebounds, and two steals, while Kintavious Dozier chipped in 11 points and four boards in the win.

Second-Half Surge Turns the Tide

After trailing 32–27 at halftime, Alabama A&M came out blazing, unleashing a 15–0 run to open the second half. The Bulldogs’ defense clamped down hard, holding UAH scoreless for nearly six minutes as A&M built a 42–32 lead.

A 3-pointer from Davis extended the margin to 51–37, energizing the crowd. Though UAH battled back behind hot shooting from beyond the arc, the Bulldogs stayed poised down the stretch.

With under two minutes remaining, Dozier’s driving layup pushed A&M ahead 71–66, and clutch free throws in the final minute sealed the deal.

Inside the Numbers

The Bulldogs shot 45.6% from the floor and 76.5% from the free-throw line, outrebounding UAH 31–29 and turning 18 Charger turnovers into 23 points.

A&M also got strong contributions off the bench, scoring 25 points and adding 26 points in the paint.

Head Coach Donte’ Jackson’s Bulldogs Are Rolling

The win highlighted A&M’s depth and defensive intensity — something Coach Donte’ Jackson has emphasized since taking the helm.

“This team is learning how to finish games,” Jackson said postgame. “We kept our composure, defended hard, and played together — that’s Bulldog basketball.”
