BOAZ, AL — In the latest development of a months-long initiative targeting illegal massage parlors, the Boaz Police Department arrested two Chinese nationals during a raid at Sunshine Massage Parlor on July 1, officials confirmed.

Xiaodan Yang, 40, was charged with two counts of “Prohibited Activities” (soliciting patrons for prostitution), while Gao Huaying, 37, faced one count for the same offense. Both women were booked into the Marshall County Jail, with bonds set at $5,000 and $2,500, respectively.

The operation at 100 Elizabeth Street (Suite 417) marked the third massage parlor raid in Boaz as part of an ongoing prostitution sting, coordinated alongside the Marshall County District Attorney’s Office, the Marshall County Drug Task Force, and the Huntsville Police STAC Unit.

Boaz Police Chief confirmed proactive surveillance and undercover work led to these arrests. Investigators emphasize that this raid is one effort in a larger campaign to dismantle illicit operations masquerading as legitimate businesses.
