June is National Men’s Health Month, aiming to raise awareness of preventable health problems and encourage early detection and treatment among men and boys. The Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) highlights that men are less likely to seek medical care and die an average of six years earlier than women. The week leading up to Father’s Day, June 9–15, was designated as Men’s Health Week, emphasizing the need to close the empathy gap in men’s health through advocacy and awareness.
