Guntersville police are investigating a fatal weekend shooting involving a husband and wife.
Chief Investigator Mark Fortune said the incident happened at 37 Kelley Rd. when a woman was reported suffering from a gunshot wound.
A shooting victim, later identified as Lesley Marie Ward, 38, was airlifted to Huntsville Hospital after the incident on Kelley Road in Albertville.
Ward was later pronounced dead at Huntsville Hospital, according to the Marshall County Coroner’s Office.
Steven Ward has been charged with murder. This is still currently an ongoing investigation, Fortune said.
