NEWS RELEASE
Congratulations to Minister Leo Robinson, who was recently named one of Redstone Federal Credit Union’s Community Champions. Community Champions are unsung heroes among us who selflessly contribute to the well-being and improvement of our communities. By recognizing their acts of kindness, we aim to inspire others and foster a culture of caring and community spirit (from Redstone Federal Credit Union’s website).
Minister Robinson is the president/founder of Second Chance Deliverance & Restoration Ministries, Inc., a local nonprofit organization dedicated to outreach ministry and improving the lives of individuals suffering from addiction, poverty, and homelessness.
Other honorees were Kaye Bough, owner Kindred Hope Rescue and Sanctuary, which provides equine-assisted therapy to veterans with PTSD using rescued horses; Robin Kramer, founder of Next Step Farms, who teaches independent daily life skills to special needs adults in a small farm setting; Janet M’mbaha-Zarnesky runs Action Kids Tennis Camp, a free summer program where children of underserved areas learn healthy habits; and Rachel Oppmann donates her time and talents to the community through Scouts BSA and volunteering with local theaters.
Redstone Federal Credit Union celebrates individuals who go above and beyond to make a positive impact through our Community Heroes initiative. These unsung heroes contribute selflessly to improving their communities, and we aim to inspire others by recognizing their acts of kindness.
This year’s five Community Heroes have found unique ways to serve others, and we honor them not only with special awards but also by providing personalized support from our Financial Education and Business teams to further their volunteer efforts.
Nominations open in February for those in Alabama or Tennessee making a difference. For more information visit https://redfcu.org/champions/.
