16-year-old girl missing since Saturday from Gardendale found safe

    UPDATE: Jayden Richards has been found safe. Police said she was found out of safe with assistance from the FBI and is in protective custody.

    EARLIER: An Emergency Missing Child Alert has been issued for a 16-year-old north Jefferson County teen.

    Jayden Rachelle Richards, 16, was last seen Saturday about 10 a.m., according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. She was in the area of Main Street in Gardendale, wearing a grey hoodie and khaki pants.

    According to Gardendale police, Jayden was possibly seen entering a grey 2010-2012 Ford Fusion in the parking of Foodland.

    She has had not contact with family or friends since Saturday morning and her phone has been turned.

    Jayden is 5-feet, 2-inches tall and weighs 95 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes.
