Huntsville police said a man was arrested this morning on seven charges of child pornography possession.
A spokesperson for Huntsville police said Scott Elwood Juneac, 57, was booked into the Madison County Jail today. He was later released on $35,000 bond.
U.S. Marshals took Juneac into custody on warrants from Huntsville police this morning without incident.
Huntsville police’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) investigator recently received multiple cyber tips about Juneac from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).
Then earlier this month, the Huntsville Police Special Victims Unit served a search warrant, with the assistance of Homeland Security and ICAC, at a residence in the 100 block of Windridge Way S.W. in Huntsville.
More charges are expected, police said. The investigation is ongoing.
