Authorities are asking for the public’s help in finding family members for six people who recently died in Jefferson County, including two inmates at William Donaldson Correctional Facility.
No foul play is suspected in any of the deaths, but their bodies are ready to be released for burial and the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has not been able to locate or notify their relatives.

Donald Lee Fowler, 81, was found dead at 3 p.m. June 25 at his home in the 1400 block of 13th Street South. The discovery was made by a friend performing a welfare check on Fowler, said Chief Deputy Coroner Bill Yates.
Fowler died of natural causes.
Authorities said they believe had a niece who is still living but they have not been able to identify her.

Robin Anne Thomas, also known as Robin Thomas Herring, was found dead at her Fairfield home at 6:26 a.m. on July 4. The 58-year-old woman lived in the 100 block of 58th Street and was discovered by an acquaintance.
A cause of death has not yet been determined but foul play is not suspected.
Doyce Gilliland Taylor, 79, died July 4 at Fair Haven Nursing on Montclair Road. She was discovered unresponsive by nursing home staff members.
Yates said Taylor died of natural causes. A photo of Taylor was not available.

Don Robert Barclay, 73, died July 7 at William Donaldson Correctional Facility, where he was serving a life sentence for a 1996 sodomy conviction out of Autauga County.
Barclay died in the prison infirmary where he was being treated for significant natural disease.

Esther Ruth Parnell, 79, died July 10 at Mount Royal Towers in Vestavia Hills. She was found unresponsive by staff members from Elite Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Staff told coroner’s officials that they did not have any family information on her.
Calvin Darrell Turner, 57, died Tuesday at Princeton Baptist Medical Center after he was found unresponsive in his cell at William Donaldson Correctional Facility.
Yates said Turner’s cell male witnessed the inmate become unresponsive and notified prison staff. Turner was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead at 10:14 a.m.
The cause of death has not been determined, but authorities don’t suspect foul play.
Yates said authorities believe Turner’s mother and other family members live in the Gadsden area.
