
Portraits of Life
In observance of Black History Month, the Art Program at Alabama A&M University will present “Portraits of Life: The Works of Harold Turner” in the AAMU Art Gallery located in Room 100 of the R. D. Morrison Fine Arts Building.
A native of Huntsville, Ala., and AAMU alumnus, Turner is a figurative sculptor and painter.
He has exhibited widely throughout the South, including Panoply and the Monte Sano Arts Festival in Huntsville, Ala.; The Black Art Expo at Emory University and the Chastain Park Art Festival in Atlanta, Ga.; the Kentuck Arts Festival in Northport, Ala.; and Arts on the Commons in Kettering, Ohio, among others.
“Portraits of Life” was slated to open Friday, February 11, and will remain on view through Friday, March 11. NOTE: Established protocols related to COVID-19 will be observed when visiting the gallery.
