Hopewell M.B. Church, under the leadership of Pastor Dr. Larry Davidson, celebrated its 161st Church Anniversary. This year’s theme was “Standing On Promise of God ” from the scripture Hebrew 1:23.
Minister Michael Garner gave the Call to Worship, and Deacon Richard Hardin gave a heart-felted devotion.
Mother Hazel Hardin presented the Occasion and the Welcome by Mother Ruby Ford. The Hopewell M.B. Church choir rendered the song service, and the Praise Dance Ministry performed the song, “Satan We’re Gonna Tear Your Kingdom Down.”
Hopewell M.B. Church had a wonderful, spiritual day at the ‘Well.’ Dr. Don Darius Butler, Pastor of First Missionary Baptist Church, was the guest minister. His sermon was entitled “Keeping Faith With God.” Pastor Butler encouraged the congregation and delivered a powerful word from Exodus 17: 1-8.
