The Huntsville Alumnae Chapter (HAC) of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is excited to announce our 7th Annual Rise Against Hunger Event. Due to COVID proto[1]cols, we will not gather to package meals as we have in past years. We will instead host the Huntsville Alumnae Chapter Virtual 5k Walk to raise funds for the Rise Against Hunger Race to School Challenge. Our goal is to raise at least $3500 for Rise Against Hunger’s meals and school feeding programs. At $0.35 per meal, that is the equivalent of 10,000 meals.
WHAT: Huntsville Alumnae Chapter Virtual 5k Walk
WHEN: Thursday, June 10th – Tuesday, June 15th, 2021
WHERE: Virtual – complete the walk anywhere, anytime between the dates listed above
COST: Registration fee is $20 per person (registration link will be provided)
In the countries Rise Against Hunger serves worldwide, children walk an average of three miles to school each day. This journey leads to education and nutritious Rise Against Hunger meals. Please help us honor their journey by becoming a sponsor of the Huntsville Alumnae Chapter Virtual 5k Walk for Rise Against Hunger. Also encourage your membership to register to participate in this virtual 5k. You may register as an individual or start your own team.
Various sponsorship levels are available and are as follows: Neighbor: $35 (equivalent of 100 meals) Friend: $170 (equivalent of 500 meals) Advocate: $340 (equivalent of 1000 meals) Champion: $680 (equivalent of 2000 meals).
