Thanks, to Speakin Out News and to our many dedicated readers. So thankful for our beautiful weather. My son, daughter and I drove to Detroit this last past weekend for my nephew’s funeral. We were told they had a big snow coming there on Tuesday. During our trip we went thru several states including Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana, and Michigan. It was a 10-hour drive both ways and an interesting trip as I saw many tall buildings in several cities such as Nashville and a lot of empty land in other states. We had a great trip but were glad to get back to Alabama.
VACCINATIONS
How do we know if we need to take the Covid shots or not as there are so many stories in the papers and new news daily? As a precaution, the feds paused the J&J vaccinations due to several reported cases of the vaccine causing blood clots. The Moderna and Pfizer vaccines rely on a different technology and have not been associated with blood clots and continue to be administered. The number of new cases of coronavirus in Alabama’s K-12 schools have dropped but the officials fear a new spike may occur with the mask order being dropped. Say your prayers daily as HE is the only real safe source.
SECRETARY OF STATE
The Secretary of State Mr. John Merrill was long viewed as one of the leading up and coming politicians in Alabama. He is now being accused of having an affair and the woman he had an affair with, Cesaire McPherson has gone public with tapes of their conversations. Caleb Moore, son of former Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore, put McPherson in touch with a man that had worked with his father’s U.S. Senate campaign named Patrick Howley. Patrick published the audio of his interview with McPherson after talking with her on the phone about her affair with the Secretary of State. She said she did not know their conversation was being recorded. It is sad to say, but we could do worse than John Merrill who has registered more registered voters than any Secretary of State before. Due to his efforts, there were a lot of people who voted who had never voted before. It is amazing that when there is someone who wants someone out of office there is always a way. How many Democrats or Republicans have a clear record?
CITY LEADERS?
Slow down on your developing of this city and do some serious planning. Your actions make me believe that developers are telling you how to run this city and that this city is in business with some of these developers. Stone Middle School and other property has been taken away and given to developers. There is a new project on Governors Drive. I wonder who is the developer and is that some of the surplus property the City has been discussing at the Council meetings? Please do the right thing and allow the public to be involved.
