Drake State Community and Technical College and the Alabama School of Cyber Technology and Engineering (ASCTE) have agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that will allow for educational collaboration for students and faculty at both institutions. The signing will take place at ASCTE on Monday, March 15, 2021, at 9:30 AM.
The MOU will provide education opportunities for ASCTE’s students to enroll at Drake State as non-degree seeking students as early as their Sophomore year, gaining college-level instruction and experience while attending high school. The two institutions have agreed to share resources, such as instructors and some equipment, to enhance student learning. The agreement also establishes ASCTE students’ ability to earn certifications such as Computer-Aided Design ( CAD) before their high school graduation.
