Thanks Speakin Out News and to our many dedicated readers. I hope everyone has a better and blessed year as there were some unreal tough times last year. Our prayers are very important. Many of our friends and families are leaving us. Life is short no matter how old you are, so please get things in order.
INAUGURATION OVER
We now have a new President for the next 4 fours. President Joe Biden recognized many challenges ahead while urging unity in his inaugural speech. This is a great nation with good people, and we are strong enough to overcome these challenges. We can restore the soul and secure the future of America, but it will require more than words. It requires a democracy where the Country comes together and unifies and stops all the bickering and personal attacks on each other. I hope all our elected officials work together and work for the people as this has been some election year.
STATE MASK
The state mask order has been extended into March. Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey last Thursday extended a statewide mask order until March as the State continues to face numbers of COVID-19 cases. The order is important as the state is very short of having enough medicine. It took 12 weeks for the death toll to rise from 200,000 to 300,000, but only five weeks for another 199,000 to die. The virus is going to get worse before it gets better. People who are contracting the virus today will start to get sick next month. Please pray every day as this is a serious situation and many people are not taking it as such.
HUNTSVILLE GROWTH
This little city is growing fast as our Leaders want to live in a big city. I believe in Economic Growth but not as fast and carless as our leaders are thinking. Seems their thinking is focused on setting their friends up in business with 50-year leases on city properties. Is it true that SOMEONE is wanting to take over the Russell Erskine property downtown? I found out about this thru Facebook. What happened to Gov. Kay Ivey’s historical book I gave all of you that talked about preserving older buildings. I will be making a phone call to Governor Ivey to let her know what is going on with our Historical buildings. City Leaders, why don’t you move to a big city with traffic problems and all the other problems they have if that is the kind of place you want to live in.
Love you all and have a blessed week.
