Thanks , Speakin Out News and our many dedicated readers. Thank God for another year as the years seem to be passing faster than usual. Get your house in order as every day is important in our lives. I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and has a Happy Blessed New Year.
Thanks to Speakin Out for their patience with me as I have been going to therapy twice a week for my shoulder. It is getting better and I hope to be driving again soon. My family has been so good to take me to doctors and make sure I have enough to eat. My daughter asked me yesterday why I was crying and I told her I could not shop and had not gotten anyone anything for Christmas but I was so proud they were my children. One of my best days this Christmas season was sitting in the car while they were shopping and riding around seeing all of the decorated places.
I pray and talk with the Master every day to help us through the crisis. It is hard to believe what started all this and I wish one of the Presidents would look deeply into this as I think it was a planned deal. We need everyone praying for help in getting rid of this virus. My heart goes out to the many sick and those that have lost family members.
The Postal Service is deeply behind in the delivering of packages as some that paid for special deliveries still have not yet had their packages delivered.
Huntsville Schools confirmed on Monday that personal information including Social Security of teachers and staff may have been exposed to Hackers in a recent attack on the district’s school computer system. The system has not uncovered any information that was locked down or stolen yet.
COUNCILMAN – SPORTS COMMISSION
It was announced last Monday that former Councilman Mark Russell will be running the Huntsville Sports Commission. Mark was a well-known football game official and has been hired as executive director of the commission. Russell also co-hosts a weekly sports talk show. Mark Russell retired from the city council in 2018 after serving 16 years and was president of the council for 10 years.
The Sports Commission is in charge of recruiting sports to Huntsville and overseeing the running of the events. Recent events include the Rocket City Rockets. Congratulations to Mark. This is a great move but I miss you at the City Council meetings. We needed you 16 more years or at least until I am gone. You were one of the best as many things are happening in our City now that I question.
ISSUES OF CONCERN
Will Alabama get its fair share of the vaccine that they are passing out and will President Trump get to pass the $90 Billion Deal or will the chosen few get in his way. I do not see any of them doing anything to help the people. Where were the people when the election was being voted on?
Love all of you and have a HAPPY NEW YEAR.
