Thanks, Speakin Out News and to our many dedicated readers. This year has passed very fast and it is not very long until Christmas is here. I was in a 3-car accident after leaving City Council on September 24th. Thank God no one was seriously injured. Two weeks later I fell and broke shoulder but everything is going great and I am going to physical therapy. Thank God every day for life, health, faith, family, friends and for all that He does to help us.
VISITOR
So happy to see my grandson come home from college this week. He came home from Auburn so that he could vote on Tuesday. He is a big Auburn fan and the Auburn football team did a great job this past weekend against LSU. The Ragin Cajuns from Louisiana where my niece’s son is Head Coach, won another game this past weekend. Her son, Billy Napier was previously a wide receiver coach at Alabama and the Offensive Coordinator at Clemson before becoming the Head Coach at Louisiana.
VOTER DAY
I hope you voted this past week as this has been the craziest election during my life time. Just pray whoever wins will remember they are working for the people and not for self-interest.
HUNTSVILLE MENTAL HEALTH CENTER
Governor Kay Ivey announced Wednesday during her state address that in February there will be three mental crisis health centers; one in Huntsville, Mobile and Montgomery. They will be staffed by mental and physical health professionals. This is a great addition to our state.
COUNTY BUILDING FENCE
Will there be a fence built around the moment that was moved from the Court House to Maple Hill cemetery? Why did have to move the moment? Why can’t we all just love each other and be thankful for life.
HUNTSVILL LEADERS
If City Leaders want to live in a big city then they should call the movers and get out of Huntsville Alabama. The traffic is terrible; speeders are everywhere, streets are being made too small in order to put in bicycles lanes. Start planning smarter and use some common sense when deciding how you spend the people’s money. I do not know who is really running this City and it is a big concern to me how they are developing it and the contracts that are being signed.
