(HUNTSVILLE, AL) – -Madkins Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America located at 2403 Oakwood Road, Northwest Huntsville, Alabama celebrated its 30th Pastoral Anniversary of the Rev. Dr. Endia J. Scruggs on Sunday, April 28th, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. This year’s theme was: “A Servant Of This Gospel”, based upon the scripture: Ephesians 3:7.
The guest speaker was Elder Benjamin D. Burt, Pastor of Bell P.B. Church, Decatur Alabama.
The Welcome and Occasion was led by Sister Patricia McDonald. Musical selections were provided by the Madkins Chapel CPCA Celebration Choir. Dr. Sabrina S. Williams, Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Antioch, TN was guest soloist.
The Reverend Endia J. Scruggs was born in Madison County, Alabama and was educated in the Madison County School System. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Religion from the Heritage Bible College in Huntsville, Alabama. Reverend Scruggs has been preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ since 1973.
She is licensed and ordained minister of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America (CPCA). She was the pastor of this congregation for eight- and one-half years. One year later, she was asked to serve as pastor of the Madkins Chapel CPCA in Huntsville, Alabama. Since her pastorate at Madkins Chapel, the congregation has grown numerically, as well as spiritually. The congregation is the largest in the CPCA denomination.
