ALABAMA 200 gives its residents a chance to explore the great state of Alabama, in each of the 67 counties that stretch from the Shoals to the shores.

As Alabama celebrates 200 years, The Wall of Remembrance Memorial will commemorate the significant contributions of former slaves, and past and current African Americans in Huntsville-Madison County.

Alabama 200 Committee Chair, Tony Smith, emphasized that this memorial will give residents the opportunity to know how African Americans have contributed to Huntsville-Madison County in agriculture, the arts, business, education, medicine, the military, religion, media, science, technology, and more.
